A reader who found my old blog asked the following question in response to the article "Unexpected Results."
Hi there! This is my first comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout out and say I really enjoy reading your posts.
Can you recommend any other blogs/websites/forums that cover the same subjects?
Thanks for your time!
First of all, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. And yes, I definitely have some other blogs and websites to recommend. I've put together a list of resources for science-based massage therapist in this article, "Resources for Science-Based Massage Therapists." A number of sites are listed with brief descriptions. Most are not blogs but, instead, websites, forums, or FaceBook pages. Many are directed specifically towards manual therapists and may not be of interest to non-therapists. However, I think of particular note to lay readers is Paul Ingraham's website PainScience.com. Paul writes about pain science, self-help, and therapy in a very intelligent yet readable manner.
A blog that has quickly become a personal favorite is Todd Hargrove's blog Better Movement. Todd writes articles of interest to both therapists and lay readers and is one of the most insightful, articulate, and amusing writers in the field of manual therapy. His science is solid, his insights are helpful, and he's a lot of fun! In particular, you must check out "Why Massage is Like Chicken Sexing." As Todd said, with a title like that, you know quality content is sure to follow!
